Assistive Technology Software

Free Tools

TTS Reader

TTS Reader is a FREE online tool for listening to documents.  You can upload documents or PDF files or simply copy and paste text in.  There is a choice of voices to listen with.  

You can't save the recordings unless you buy the premium version, but you could always play it aloud and use your phone to record!

Listening to text read aloud can help with learning materials and proof reading your work.

A FREE chrome extension that gives lots of options for improving readability of websites.

Text to Speech in Word

Listening to a Word document using the built in text to speech function.

Helps with reading and proof reading.

Has limited voices.




Grammarly for Chrome

Using the Chrome extension for Grammarly.

Works with Google Documents as well as most online pages/tools.

Helps with spelling and grammar.
